specialise in pipe bending technology utilised in industrial
applications including aircraft. We were called to them
as a referral from an existing customer. They had some
on-site I.T. skills including application development,
and basic server administration (most of which were
home-grown). This natural expansion of knowledge through
need is typical, as is the natural growth of problems
that goes alongside it. We initially did a free healthcheck
and highlighted a number of areas that were of concern.
Following a subsequent review of our findings with Unison
staff, we addressed the critical areas. Unison are a
growing organisation and so are their needs. Alan Pickering
(MD) had already identified some business needs, and
following consultation with ourselves, we formed these
into an I.T. development plan. The purpose of the plan
was to support the internal users for day-to-day operations,
reliably, whilst providing remote users with similar
levels of functionality and increase management control.
As with all I.T. plans this is on-going to coincide
with the ever changing needs of a business today. |

operates unhindered whilst undertaking fundamental re-structuring

to us by an existing customer. A site setup as a workgroup to provide

to allow it's user base to work remotely to achieve the

solution developed for their requirements has allowed us to
ensure that the businesses operate effectively whilst meeting
